The Fox & Well Red: Second Story

Local legend Richard Tomasello, owner of Well Red, opened The Fox in April 2024 and Well Red Second Story in August 2024. The Fox, previously Coffee Cat, brings an eccentric atmosphere and the same incredible coffee and pastries you have come to expect from Well Red! Located in the heart of downtown, The Fox is the perfect place to grab a midday treat or meet up with friends. Well Red: Second Story has all of your Well Red favorites in a bigger location with a drive-thru! Stinson Breads

An Opelika favorite, Stinson Breads, is now sharing artisan, handmade sourdough from their storefront on N Railroad Ave in downtown. Stinson serves mouth-watering flavors of scones, galettes, and muffins in addition to their classic sourdough loaves. Visit Stinson Breads Tuesday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. or until sold out.

Magnolia Mural

Around the corner from Behind the Glass, lies the newest artistic addition to downtown Auburn, the Magnolia Mural. Donna Young’s artistic mastery is expressed in this long-awaited masterpiece. While serving on the public arts committee, Young advocated for the mural’s approval and was proud to contribute this piece to the community. Snap a selfie or just simply admire this bright, floral mural the next time you find yourself downtown.

Tacorita

A local favorite, Tacorita, makes a comeback to downtown Auburn. The beloved, gourmet tacos and handcrafted margaritas are set to return to the Plains this fall. Indulge in unique flavor pairings or quench your thirst with a refreshing drink at Tacorita. 

Oz

Enjoy the intrigue and mystery of Oz, a new speakeasy in downtown Auburn. Behind the secret door you will find a sophisticated atmosphere and Oz’s exclusive cocktail menu that can only be found by entering the establishment. The menu is seasonal and ever-changing, ensuring a unique experience for every guest.

Pines Crossing 

Pines Crossing is another exceptional addition to Auburn’s already bustling golf community. All skill levels are welcome at this par 72, 18 hole course. Pines Crossing also features a practice facility, short game area, and clubhouse for never-ending fun on the green.

From the minds that brought you The Hound, Sneak and Dawdle, and The Depot, Corner Office is a new, must-visit spot. Corner Office serves breakfast, coffee, and lunch to the Auburn community in a cozy, cafe environment. Located in the Auburn Research Park, it's just a short drive from downtown Auburn or campus. Stop by for a study break or to enjoy a quick bite with friends from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Boulangerie French Bakery is a charming addition to downtown Auburn. They offer breads, cakes, coffee and pastries, made with only the finest ingredients. Love the treats so much you want to take them home? Boulangerie takes custom cake and dessert orders.

 

Opelika Sportsplex Splash Pad + Pool

The Opelika Sportsplex now features a 360 degree zero-depth entry splash playground and 50-meter outdoor pool. Disc Golf at Spring Villa Park

Indoor Facility at Wire Road Soccer Complex

In addition to the outdoor fields at the Wire Road Soccer Complex, a 160-by-350-foot indoor multipurpose court was added to this state-of-the-art facility. The indoor complex is lined for futsal, soccer, basketball, and volleyball; so the possibilities are endless!
